Former Speaker John BoehnerJohn Andrew BoehnerThe original Tea Partier exits, stage right A tyranny of the minority is raising your health care costs Rivalry on right emerges between ‘the two Marks’ MORE (R-Ohio) has an explanation for why the GOP has yet to repeal and replace ObamaCare.
“Their gonads shriveled up when they learned this vote was for real,” he said in a wide-ranging interview with Politico.
His comments come after the GOP failed multiple times to repeal and replace ObamaCare, a key agenda item for the party.
Earlier this month, Trump signed an executive order aimed at taking action on ObamaCare.
He said the order was “starting the process” to repeal ObamaCare, adding it will be the “first step to providing millions of Americans with ObamaCare relief.”
Trump also announced earlier this month he would end key payments to insurers selling ObamaCare plans.
On Sunday, Trump tweeted the country would soon have “great Healthcare” after the GOP passes tax reform.
He also put blame on Democrats for premium spikes in ObamaCare plans.
“As usual, the ObamaCare premiums will be up (the Dems own it), but we will Repeal & Replace and have great Healthcare soon after Tax Cuts!” he tweeted.
